Abstract: China is the only country in the world which has consistency progressed in the last decade or so. The manner in which it has contained its inflation and currency merits acknowledgement and admiration. This progress has been made possible because of well thought-out and carefully orchestrated strategies. This paper highlights some myths and realities about China, the key drivers of its economic development, and its underlying strategies. It also identifies certain areas that India needs to focus on to leverage its strengths to compete with the emerging nations.
