Abstract: This paper examines the global Analytics Industry, specifically touching upon the unique elements of the industry in India today. It highlights the three key ingredients driving the successful operations of the Analytics process: well-organized data resources in business corporations, a processing capability to mine information from these data, and appropriately blended business acumen in data analyses to project the impact of the analyses on decision making. It also describes an evolutionary path of creating productive Analytic processes within business organizations.
